We have made this change to show you more options to help you manage your health, but you can always still choose to contact us.
Which health problems will patients be signposted for?
The health problems Accurx will signpost for are:
- Cough
- Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
- Sore throat
- Back pain
- Mental health problem
- Sprain, strain or other minor injury
- Impetigo
- Shingles
- Infected insect bite
- Earache
- Sinus infection (sinusitis)
- Hay fever
Note: Patients under 16 years old will not see signposting.

Important: Online Appointments
The Saddlers Health Centre are now offering routine online appointment booking through the NHS App and the Patient Access App. Routine Online appointments will be with Dr Mahmood, Dr Verma, Dr Anand and Tracey Freeman ANP and can be booked up to 6 weeks in advance.
Please check your access on both systems and if you have any problems or are not able to view the online appointment then please contact reception who will be able to help you.
Arrange an appointment and complete the online questionnaire. A member of our team will respond to your request the same working day (not including bank holidays). Contact the reception on 01922 622326 if the reason for your appointment is urgent and you need to be seen on the day.& You can also visit the surgery in person at 8.00am to arrange a same day urgent appointment.
Our reception staff are trained to triage all calls. They will ask you questions about the reason you are calling. Please do not be offended by this, this is surgery protocol.
Accessing our service
The Saddlers Health Centre patients can access our service by:
On a Friday between 1.00pm and 6.30pm patients from The Saddlers Health Centre are able to walk into our Extended Hours Surgery based at Little London Surgery, Little London, Walsall, WS1 3EP to request a routine appointment for our surgery. Patients will be contacted by The Saddlers Health Centre Admin Team to confirm the appointment date and time by Monday 12.00pm (excluding bank holidays). We have organised a robust plan to ensure these requests will be actioned.
Emergency Appointments
We have same day appointments for those patients who need to be seen as urgent.
We prioritise children and those patients with chronic diseases for these appointment.
If your appointment is not urgent then please contact your GP using an online form. We will then contact you. You can also request the reception team to pre-book an appointment up to 2 weeks in advance.
If we have no available appointments, the reception team will direct you to other suitable services.
Routine Appointments
Consultations at the surgery are by appointment only. You can book appointments up to 2 weeks in advance if not urgent. We offer the majority of appointments as a face to face with the GP’s. There are also telephone consultations available. Or you can contact your GP using an online form.
You can now book routine appointments with our surgery online through the patient access service or NHS App.
Patients can request a specific GP to see/speak to but we cannot guarantee this on a daily basis.
All Nurse and Health Care assistant appointment can be pre-booked up to 6 weeks in advance. Contact the surgery to arrange an appointment with the Nurse or HCA if required 01922 622326.

Contacting the Surgery
We now have a call back function on the telephones for those patients who do not wish not wait the calling que and wish for a staff member to ring them back. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS ONLY FOR NON URGENT REASONS. You will be contacted by our dedicated reception team Monday between the hours of 10.00am till 3.00pm, Tuesday to Thursday between the hours of 10.00am till 1.00pm and 5.00pm till 6.00pm, and Friday between the hours or 10.00am till 12.00pm.
Change or Cancel Your Appointment
Make the surgery aware in good time if you are unable to keep your appointment. This allows us to give the slot to another patient.
If we have your mobile number we will send a text message reminder before an appointment. This allows you to cancel your appointment via text message.
You can also cancel any arranged appointments through Patient Access or the NHS app.
Repeated failure to attend appointments may result in the removal from our surgery list. This is to ensure that other patients can access our services.
If you arrive late to your appointment by 10 minutes or more you will not be seen. You will need to re-arrange the appointment.
Extended Hours Clinic
We have extended hours Monday to Friday 6.30pm to 8.00pm and Saturday’s 9.00am to 5.00pm. Location: Little London Surgery Little London Walsall WS1 3EP. These appointment are pre-bookable only please note this is not a walk in service. Please speak to our reception team if an appointment is needed. Please speak to our reception team if you wish to arrange an extended GP appointment.
Bank holidays
If you need to see a Clinician as urgent on a Bank holiday contact 01922 660721 to arrange an appointment. The phone lines are open from 1.00pm to 6.30pm or you can contact NHS 111 for advice and guidance.
Walsall Manor Hospital Urgent Care Centre
Is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. You do not need an appointment for any urgent treatment only. Please do not attend the service if your problem can wait for the next GP surgery opening.
Pharmacy Minor Illness
Many pharmacists around the Walsall do have minor illness clinics. If you tell our reception team of any minor illness, they can make a to one of these clinics for you. This would be to a participating pharmacy near to where you live. Many of the pharmacists now have Pharmacy First Scheme. If you do not pay for prescriptions or are on certain benefits you will be able to get treatment free of charge.

If you already use online access you can continue to use it. You can use the NHS App as well.

Home Visits
We do offer Home Visits for those patients who are clinical house bound. To request a home visit please call the surgery on 01922 622326. Our reception team who will take your details and speak to the on call GP for that day. The GP will then contact you and arrange a home visit if they feel there is a clinical need.
